Winslow launched Big Blue, our large and tough 36 tonne excavator painted blue, in 2018 as great conversation starter to encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out and seek support from workmates, family and friends.
It's been spreading the word on mental health awareness across Winslow projects ever since.
Our Big Blue Hitachi ZX360 is a visual reminder for employees to 'Chat and Check-In' with colleagues.
Fast forward to 2022 and Winslow continues to be committed to raising the awareness and understanding of the benefits of positive mental health through our HSE integrated initiatives.
With a new coat of paint and armed with Winslow 'Chat and Check-In' travel cups, Big Blue now has added purpose and will travel around Winslow sites in Victoria and spread the word on positive mental health and how important it is to 'Chat and Check-In' regularly with workmates.
We encourage our employees to actively seek help if they need it and have visible mechanisms in place to help guide and support them.
We empower our leaders to guide employees to find support needed as we are all there to support each other.
On World Mental Health Day, 2024, Winslow launched ‘The Road To Positive Mental Health – Building Strong Connections’, a document that highlights our dedication to support our employees.
