Amory at Ripley is a master-planned community located just 10 mins from Ipswich in the heart of Ripley Valley. Construction of Phase 1 works consist of clearing, bulk earthworks to Stages 1 – 4, Ripley Road intersection, external link road, Stage 1 and 2 civil stages and an external sewer. Winslow has been actively engaged in the initial stages, assisting the client to descope where possible and offering local expertise in the design and programming of the project.

This prestigious residential estate is located on a rise between the Pacific Ocean, a protected wetlands, established high end housing, and farmland, and was classified as a high value cultural heritage site. Very strict environmental and construction constraints formed part of the DA requirements for the project and as such, high levels of environmental and cultural heritage management and protection were required throughout works.

Averley Estate is situated in Nar Nar Goon, located 65km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD and only 5 minutes away from the Pakenham Town Centre, encompassing over 113ha. The estate will contain 1500 residential lots and 20ha of planned park lands and reserves. The final vision of the community is anticipated to include a new primary school and community centre. Sustainability is ingrained throughout the project with a focus on low energy impact, utilising recycled water, and providing fibre optic network connections through the community.

Botanica Deebing Creek Trunk Sewer

The Botanica Trunk Sewer line will provide critical sewer infrastructure for Stockland’s Botanica master-planned community, Moremac’s South Place community and AV Jennings Deebing Springs community. The trunk sewer is to be constructed in two separable portions with the first to commence in late July 2024. The project consists of more than 2km of deep trunk sewer, construction of large stormwater culverts and a foot bridge over Deebing Creek

Bradmill Remediation Project

    • Disposal of less than 20% of all abated materials which include contaminated materials, rock for offsite disposal and asbestos in soil.
    • Re-use >90% of all excavated materials as fill by reprocessing midstream yield materials from screening process.
    • Traceability of materials through EPA tracker identification to sustain audit requirements.
    • Through pro-active planning and implementation of the site specific environmental, asbestos, noise, dust, waste and water management plans, Winslow excelled on Project’s and Client’s environmental targets. The project also worked within the EPA and local Council requirements, which focussed on the protection of the surrounding environment with emphasis on the residential housing.

The former Bradmill Industries Limited textile factory was at one time, the country’s first and only manufacturer of denim, as well as a leading supplier of cotton workwear including iconic Aussie brand, King Gee. Established on site in 1938 and shuttered 67 years later, the 26-hectare factory site was disused for >16 years until recently given a new lease of life.

Winslow Infrastructure is undertaking remediation works at the site with an environmental overlay for re-development.

Constructors team breaks dirt on Uptown estate

The Winslow Constructors team in Shepparton, in Victoria’s Goulburn Region, has hit the ground running at Uptown Estate, with our earthworks crews making an impressive start onsite. 

With favourable conditions the team has quickly been able to strip the topsoil with our scrapper fleet and we now have the cut-to-fill operation well underway. 

We will shortly have the site ready for sewer and drainage as we continue to get Uptown ready for success.

Gen Fyansford Estate

Started in May 2018 to remediate and develop at disused Geelong quarry into a thriving 1100 lot residential neighborhood. As part of the quarry remediation more than 300,000 tonnes of rock was blasted with more than 1,000,000 tonne of rock and fill material placed. Winslow has delivered a major highway signalised intersection and over 1km of external services connecting in the new community. Recent works have included rehabilitation of ground water ponds into developed residential lots for housing.

Katalia is located in Donnybrook, Victoria consisting of about 1500 housing lots on completion. Winslow successfully completed 377 of these lots within the first two years of construction. Leneva Valley Estate

Located in Wodonga's growth corridor and forming part of the Leneva-Baranduda Precinct Structure Plan, this substantial 82.92ha (204.89acres) englobo parcel is located 7km (approx.) south-east of Wodonga's CBD, zoned: UGZ1 (Urban Growth - schedule 1) and holds one title spread across four lots.

Little Diggers enjoy Winslow's big machines

Winslow Constructors’ Geelong Region team joined developer Stockland at Banksia Estate recently for a “Little Diggers” community event.

It was a chance for the local community children to see Winslow machines up close.

Winslow began working on Banksia two years ago, which is located in Armstrong Creek, south of Geelong, and has completed five stages to date.

The project includes an intersection on Boundary Rd, with another two stages underway and a further five stages to be constructed over the next 18 months to two years.

Minta Farm Estate

    Construction of a North South Arterial Road eventually connecting Grices Road to Oshea’s Road entry to the Monash Freeway, which was a key component of local government and Council planning for the growth of the area and assisted with the easing of congestion on local roads with the Berwick and Clyde North area now having alternative freeway access.

    Successful implementation of recycled products, including but not limited to Reconophalt (Recycled Asphalt).

Minta Farm estate accommodates 314 medium density, 330 small and 938 houses, totaling 1582 lots within Berwick. The estate is located between the Monash Freeway and Grices Road with a future connection directly to the Oshea’s Road freeway entrance. The estate also includes 5.03 ha of Credited open space that have been divided into four public park lands. Construction has included large scale bulk earthworks, main drains, major intersections, branch sewer, trunk water mains as well as other major infrastructure.

Smiths Lane Estate

Smiths Lane in Clyde North is a planned community estate on a 260ha site located about 55km south-east of Melbourne. The masterplan of the estate is expected to deliver more than 3000 lots over the next 10 years. Construction commenced late 2019 and will be home to over 7500 residents, with more than 56ha of public open space planned. The estate will include amenities such as a Town Centre, government primary school, private primary/secondary school with several open space precincts including sporting ovals and local parks.

For more than 10 years Winslow has been constructing The Point Estate with more than 600 residential and retirement lots in Point Lonsdale.

The project boasts the challenge of realigning and protecting kilometers of active highly significant active environmental waterways.

The project included a new roundabout entrance along the Bellarine highways and construction of three vehicle and two pedestrian bridges.

Winslow buddies with NAWIC

Winslow collaborates with various groups to provide opportunities to different community groups, and we value using and passing on knowledge.

Chaya, a Winslow Constructors Site Engineerhas been mentoring university students studying for careers in the construction industry.

The Buddy Program is run by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Victoria Education Committee to help students navigate the transition from university to industry, and successfully integrate into the workforce.

The program is available for Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management and Architecture students of all genders.

Chaya is one of 33 ‘buddies’ who have volunteered to participate in the program to mentor one to two students.

“I wanted to participate as I had an interesting journey into the industry,” Chaya said.

“I also wanted to promote Winslow’s priority to employ people who show initiative and promise.”

Woodlea Estate is a project located 30km west of Melbourne, offering more than 7000 lots.

More than 3500 lots have been completed since construction commenced in 2015. Construction is ongoing with 12 stages currently active comprising of sub-divisions, waterways, wetlands and open spaces. It is anticipated that construction will continue until at least 2030.

The estate includes amenities such as a Town Centre, Government primary/secondary schools, sports precincts, pharmacy and medical centres with multiple local parks in short proximity from every home. About 30 per cent of the Woodlea footprint is dedicated to open space with significant efforts made to nurture and protect existing landscape.

Work begins on new Echuca community

Winslow Constructors has begun earthworks on Yallahra, a new residential community in Echuca, in Northern Victoria.

The project is Winslow’s first in Echuca, which is set to contribute $38 million in major infrastructure enhancements to the local area and help alleviate affordability pressures for regional Victoria.

Winslow is working on another amazing project with Wel.Co to create the community of more than 2000 homes in the growing region on the Murray River.

Yallahra will deliver massive benefits to both the local community and economy, helping pave the way for an estimated 4500 new workers required by 2026 in Echuca and its surrounds.

 An official sod-turning ceremony was held at Yallahra this week, which was attended by officials from Winslow, Wel.Co and VIPs, including (pictured below) Echuca Ward Councillor - Mayor Rob Amos, Member for Murray Plains - Peter Walsh MP, original landowner Peter McSwain, Wel.Co-founder and Managing Director Andrew Welsh.

Winslow has begun earthworks in Yallarah’s opening stage clearing topsoil and leveling the site, which will be followed by sewer and drainage works, service connections, and road and concrete works.
