Mentor program continues to connect Winslow’s women
Winslow is future-focused on supporting our women and we believe that “you can’t be what you can’t see”.
During Women in Construction Week, we recognise the valuable contribution of Winslow’s women to our Group and the civil construction industry.
Our Women of Winslow program is an ongoing initiative across the Group aimed at supporting site-based females through upskilling our current female site leaders.
The mentoring program creates and develops female leaders, impacting the culture of our business through support, connection and genuine care for each other and their teams back on site.
Winslow Constructors Project Manager Kelly-Marie is a mentor for Project Engineer Chaya.
“It can be difficult building friendships and relating with others’ experiences. It also makes it hard to see women in leadership positions if they aren’t in your direct office,” Kelly said.
“The mentor/mentee program provided me with an opportunity to network and meet other females in the wider Group, and many that I would now consider friends.”
Chaya said being a mentee in the program has been “an incredibly valuable experience”.
“Kelly has provided invaluable guidance and support while also facilitating networking opportunities with key leaders across the Winslow Group,” Chaya said.
“This experience has deepened my understanding of our company’s community and capabilities and strengthened my sense of belonging.”
Winslow understands that a learning organisation is a growing organisation. Our employees are empowered to be accountable, confident, and independent thinkers.
It’s the Winslow way!
